Autumn in NYC is the inspiration for these hand dyed pillows. Yet, a season-less palette of rusts, sepia, peach and hints of aubergine and aqua swirls gives warmth and depth to any interior. Gold leather piping gives these pillows a richness and shine.

Cocktails on the shuffle board deck, long lingering sunsets and shimmering reflections on the salmon-hued stucco walls in the dusk. This color-way of my organic cotton fabric series is a ode to Southern California sunsets and the La Valencia hotel in La Jolla, a 1920's landmark.

The brilliance of Maine's rugged Acadia National Park is awe inspiring. Its landscape is marked by woodland, rocky beaches and glacier-scoured granite peaks. The deep blue ocean, dusty lavender sunsets and rust colored earth emboldens this park's personality.

Emerald, seaweed and celery greens with pops of ochre boldly swirl on these Greenbrier pillows. Named after the distinct deep green palm frond wallpaper at the historic Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia (also think Beverly Hills Hotel too), these pillows give the feel of the outside indoors.
(Shout out to Nashville's very own Greenbrier Distillery. They make the world's finest bourbon. Yes, the world. Highly recommended to drink Belle Meade Bourbon while reclining on these pillows.)

Equally as unique, these recycled dyed pillows are softer in design and saturation. The abstract patterns are all random and completely one-of-a-kind. Leftover dye from other projects is soaked up to make sure "no dye is left behind".
What do you see?
Each of my ink blot pillows are different. No silk screens or digital printers.
Therefore, each pillow will have it's own pattern and personality.
I blend black, silver and pearl white screen printing inks to create my shapes, fold fabric, roll until smooth and open to uncover design.
Printed on a linen/ cotton blend. Back is 100% black European linen fabric. Inside front is lined with washed cotton muslin.
Invisible zipper closure and french seams inside. I think the inside should be just as well done as the outside.
"An inkblot test is a personality test which involves the evaluation of a subjects response to ambiguous ink blots. This test was published in 1921 by Hermann Rorschach who was a psychiatrist from Switzerland." -Wikipedia
Coral pink, lime, lemon and glacier blue stack and overlap on these hand dyed pillows. The reverse is dyed in an asymmetrical stripe in the same colors as the front. Great for a kid's room or bright sun room!

Whipped and gathered hand sewn stitches along with folds create the unique negative patterns on the shibori hand dyed saw silk pillows. The raw silk has a nubby texture which adds to the dimension of the design. Available in blush, sage and turquoise or custom color.
I welcome the nuances and imperfections that come with hand dyeing.
